August 29 - September 1, 2025
How does gathering in God’s creation with other members of the Novo family sound? We’ll seek the Lord together in the Cave, minister to one another around the Table, and testify about his work in our lives on the Road. Not to mention we’ll have some good ol’ fashioned fun, laughs, and recreation in beautiful North Idaho!
If that sounds like something you’d like to be a part of, then join us for the first ever “Novo-Family” Camp over Labor Day weekend (Aug 29-Sept 1), a “choose your own adventure” experience for an enriching time in the great outdoors. We’ll minister to one another and our families, pursue the Lord through worship, encourage each other with testimonies and equipping workshops, and share meals and stories around the picnic tables. Tim and Leslie Shucks’ beautiful homestead in Cocolalla, Idaho—nestled between Coeur d’Alene and Sandpoint—will serve as a home-base for most group activities and the location for campers and RVs.
You are! This gathering is for singles, young adults, empty-nesters, and families with kids! This experience is a “low-key,” come-as-you-are type of experience!
Depending on your preferred lodging, you may have separate accommodation costs.
Gathering-wise, we’re keeping things simple. To help cover shared expenses, like meals and event setup at the Shucks’ homestead, we suggest a donation of $50–$100 per family, per day, as you’re able and feel led.

*Note about childcare: Childcare is not provided. Some kid-oriented and self-led activities are available, but if your child needs assistance, that will come from you! As a working farm and natural area, the property has water hazards, large farm animals, and acres and acres of forest. Parents are expected to know where their kids are at all times.
**Note about the Shucks and the property: Please be aware that this is not a retreat center or traditional campground. Tim and Leslie have enjoyed cultivating a “farm-to-table” type of hobby farm—a working/living/playing home—with Scottish Highland Cows, chickens, honey bees, and whatever native wildlife chooses to show up on any given day. They’ve enjoyed hosting “camping” weekends with friends as ministry and community-building for almost 10 years. Flexibility and a mindset for fun are needed for these events!
